Parents are welcome to send or bring treats for their child's birthday. We will have the treats at 2:30PM. I ask that you let me know at least a day ahead of time so I can put it into that day's schedule. Please remember that all party snacks/ treats must be prepackaged and peanut free. Here is the letter sent out by our school nurse: For all class parties: Please remember only individually wrapped, purchased items will be allowed to be served at school. No bakery cupcakes or cookies, homemade goodies or food will be permitted in the classroom. These are a few suggestions: Fresh vegetables (sacks of carrot/celery sticks, broccoli, cauliflower) Fresh fruits (sacks of apples, bananas, grapes, oranges, strawberries) Applesauce Raisins Fruit roll ups Twizzlers Fruit gummies or Gummi Bears String cheese Cubed cheese Go-Gurt yogurt Jello snacks Jello pudding cups Cheez Its by Sunshine, Cheese Nips by Nabisco, Wheat Thins by Nabisco, Triscuits by Nabisco, Nabisco Honey Maid Graham Crackers , Nabisco Ritz crackers, Pepperidge Farm goldfish (currently all flavors) Nabisco Barnum’s Animal crackers, Nabisco Chips Ahoy, Chips Ahoy Chewy, Nabisco Teddy Grahams, Nabisco Classics Iced Animal Cookies, Nabisco Nilla wafers, Nabisco Oreo cookies, Keebler Fudge Shoppe Fudge Stripes, Keebler Animal Cookies Frosted, Keebler E.L. If your child is in a peanut free classroom please check the labels on ALL foods (even the ones listed above). Manufacturing practices change, sometimes daily. If an item contains peanuts, peanut oil, nuts, or nut oil, or has a statement as “May contain traces of….”, or “Made on equipment that manufactures or processes….”,or “Made in a facility that manufactures. . .,” it is not considered safe.
